Agro Providencia

Agroprovidencia stands as a beacon of hope amidst the challenges posed by disaster capitalism. The group works on traditional farming, food sovereignty and security, and just food networks. By researching and implementing alternative farming and cooperative systems that align with the island’s ecological conditions and cultural values, they are not only preserving traditional practices but also adapting to the changing climate on their eight-square mile island. Faced government neglect, Agroprovidencia courageously tackles water scarcity issues and advocates for alternative farming techniques, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity. Their resistance is a testament to the indomitable spirit of those who refuse to bow to external forces.
