Public Awareness Campaigns

Where large-scale development leaves communities in the dark, local heroes step into the light. Across the Caribbean, community organizations are committed to not simply enduring the blows of disaster capitalism, they’re fighting back! Local organizations ignite conversations through powerful public awareness campaigns, rallying behind critical environmental justice issues. These grassroots efforts shine a spotlight on unsustainable practices, holding governments accountable and injecting community voices into decision-making. From demanding environmental impact assessments to securing a seat at the table for frontline communities, these campaigns force policymakers to consider the long-term environmental impact on people. Creative campaigns, petitions, and community organizing amplify the voices of those most affected, ensuring their concerns reach the halls of power.
